Hello! My name is Saveenha Moore! If you’re wondering why the studio is named Leona’s, it is my middle name. I come from a diverse family of 14. My mother is African American and my father is Caucasian. I am the 11th child, born and raised in North Omaha. Since my family is so large, I learned to find my voice through dance and the arts.

I always had to travel outside of my community to have access to the arts and I knew at a young age, I wanted to give that opportunity back to the inner city. So I started Leona’s Dance Company right out of high school (I was only 18 years old!) with only 5 students in attendance.

Now we have grown to over 150 students with 10 teachers and are actively looking to expand. Thank you to everyone that has influenced my life this far. I am excited to continue this journey!
