Hello! My name is Saveenha Moore! If you’re wondering why the studio is named Leona’s, it is my middle name. I come from a diverse family of 14. My mother is African American and my father is Caucasian. I am the 11th child, born and raised in North Omaha. Since my family is so large, I learned to find my voice through dance and the arts.

I always had to travel outside of my community to have access to the arts and I knew at a young age, I wanted to give that opportunity back to the inner city. So I started Leona’s Dance Company right out of high school (I was only 18 years old!) with only 5 students in attendance.

Now we have grown to over 100 students with 9 teachers and are actively looking to expand. Thank you to everyone that has influenced my life this far. I am excited to continue this journey!
